This course examines pedagogy defined simply as the art and science of teaching in the digital space. Oftentimes educators get carried away by the new technologies and ignore pedagogy. Focus is on what is on the pedagogy of hybrid-blended learning, the steps involved in designing of courses, active learning, types of learning activities and assessing student learning.  Alternative and authentic methods are explored such as the take-home exam, un-proctored objective tests, minute paper, audio & video presentations, e-portfolios, quizzes and so forth. Various issues and challenges of online assessment such as authentication, academic honesty and others are discussed.

Assessment for the microcourse is based on the following:

  • 60% – Work-Based Assignment
  • 40% – Quiz

 
Duration: 4 Weeks 
You need to spend 1 hour per day

Certification – Upon completion the microcourse and meeting all assessment requirements, participants will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement (CA) by SPEED in collaboration with Asia e University (AeU)
